Water resources are at risk from growing global demand and decreased availability. As a result from the rising water-related threat, companies are starting to recognise that water needs to be better managed. Not only because it can cause major disruption to business operations but could potentially limit their future growth. For this reason there is a need for the market to reassess its water management strategy. The beverage industry uses energy-intensive processes that require large amounts of water. This presents a risk to the continuation of business operations if a sustainable approach to water is not introduced within day-to-day activities. The relationship with water must change in order for the beverage industry to continue
manufacturing high-quality products at a low cost, whilst tapping into more sustainable solutions.
